Lamine Yamal has confirmed that he is fine after returning to Barcelona following his withdrawal from the Spain squad.

Yamal confirmed earlier reports that his injury was not serious and that, despite withdrawing from the Spain squad with an injury, he will not be out for a considerable period. The young winger had been seen limping after Spain's victory over Denmark and there were fears he could be out with a serious injury – fears which have subsequently subsided.

Yamal told La Chiringuito: "Yes, I’m feeling better now. Let’s recover and return as soon as possible."

The Spanish Football Federation confirmed that Yamal had undergone an MRI scan on the injury and that there was no major damage. The doctors confirmed that the youngster was suffering with an overload and would need to rest. Following the scan and a request from Barcelona for their superstar to withdraw, Yamal returned to the Catalan club.

Yamal is now in a race to be fit for next week's clash with Sevilla as Barcelona look to move further ahead of Real Madrid in the title race. The winger will also have an eye on a major Champions League affair with Bayern Munich the following week as motivation to recover as quickly as possible.
