da bet vitoria:
da bet nacional: Leeds United are closing in on the signing of Spanish attacker Samuel Saiz, according to Yorkshire Evening Post journalistÂPhil Hay.
What’s the word?
Last week, Saiz’s agent Juan Moreno told theÂYorkshire Evening PostÂthat a number of clubs have expressed an interest in his client, and Leeds are one of them.
The story has since developed, with Hay taking to Twitter to reveal that a transfer may not be far away from completion.
However, the journalist was quick to point out that clubs in his homeland are also keen on getting a deal done.
It is believed that the 26-year-old, who currently plays for Segunda Division side Huesca, is open to moving to England.
So, who is Saiz?
The attacking player has spent his entire career in Spain so far, representing Melilla, Getafe and Atletico Madrid.
After spending the 2015-16 campaign on loan at Huesca, Saiz joined the club on a permanent basis last year.
In the most recent domestic season, the forward scored 12 goals and created eight assists in 40 league outings.
Saiz also has experience with Real Madrid having spent nine years in the club’s academy before going on to play in their C and B teams.
The player is certain to provide at attacking threat to Thomas Christiansen’s side if he joins, but given that he has never played outside of Spain, it could be a challenge for him to adapt to Championship football.
On the other hand, being a fairly unknown quantity could benefit Leeds if their opponents are unfamiliar with his style.
